David has led Equilar since its inception to become one of the most respected and trusted names in the executive compensation industry and has been recognized as one of the "100 Most Influential Players in Corporate Governance" by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). David often speaks publicly on issues facing the executive compensation industry, including events hosted by The Conference Board, Directorship, The HR Policy Association, NACD, NASDAQ OMX, National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP), NYSE Euronext, RiskMetrics, Stanford's Directors' College, and WorldatWork. Prior to founding Equilar, David was a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division of Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, a global investment bank that has since merged with Credit Suisse. Prior to DLJ, David was a management consultant with Bain & Company and also Kenan Systems, a telecom billing software developer that was subsequently acquired by Lucent Technologies. David is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), a Charter Member of the Asian-American Multi-Technology Association (AAMA), a director of the Asian Pacific Fund Community Foundation, and a co-founder of the Korean American Society of Entrepreneurs (KASE). David earned his M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelors of Science with Honors in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. |

Brian Sohmers heads the Atlas Products Business Unit responsible for product development, marketing, and sales. Prior to joining Equilar, Brian spent over 10 years serving in product management, marketing, engineering, and business development roles at Oracle, Agile Software, and Serus launching industry leading product lifecycle management products. Brian holds a Bachelors of Chemical Engineering from The University of Dayton and an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University. |
Michael BendorfVice President, Strategic Development ![]() |
As Vice President, Strategic Development for Equilar's Insight Executive Compensation Service, Michael oversees client and professional services, sales, and key thought leadership initiatives. Most recently, Michael served as Executive Director of the Global Equity Organization (GEO), an international non-profit association dedicated to building and enhancing a worldwide network of equity compensation professionals. In this role, Michael was responsible for all aspects of GEO's development and outreach, including regional and international conferences, ongoing education and networking, strategic relationships, and operational oversight. Prior to joining GEO, Michael served as the leader of the global survey and market research group for Buck Consultants, an ACS company. In that role, he led the development and expansion of Buck's Global Long-Term Incentive Practices Survey, a leading source of information on equity compensation plan design and implementation in 37 countries around the world, as well as more than 40 other HR-related services. He was also a key leader of Buck's coordinated innovation and thought leadership effort. Michael is a past member of the Board of Directors of GEO and is also an active member of WorldatWork, the Silicon Valley Compensation Association, and the Global Equity Leadership Forum. He received his BS in International Politics from Georgetown University and earned a Masters in International Business at St. Mary's College of California. |

Jiunn Lim leads the teams responsible for Equilar's software development, QA, and IT efforts. Prior to joining Equilar, he served as Vice President of Development at HST, where he oversaw the development of the company's healthcare information system. He has also worked at SourceMedical, InterTrade, Harris, and Condor Systems. Jiunn has over 20 years of experience building highly effective, secure software and large-scale transactional management systems. His work has spanned many industries, including healthcare, telecommunications, and Internet information providers. Jiunn holds B.S. in Electrical Engineering and B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Washington. |

Ed Kam leads the team that is responsible for Accounting and Finance, Facilities, Human Resources and Legal. Prior to joining Equilar, Ed spent 10 years at several Silicon Valley start-ups as a Corporate Controller, primarily with IPLocks where he was a key driver in the sale of IPLocks to Fortinet. Prior to his involvement with technology start-ups, Ed spent several years in the financial services and energy industries and has held various managerial and analytical positions at the Bank of Hawaii, GE Capital and Pacific Resources (BHP Petroleum). Ed holds Bachelor degrees in Finance and Computer Science and an M.B.A. from the University of Hawaii. |

Nick Ezzo leads a high-performance team of Equilar marketing professionals in the creation and execution of high-touch demand generation programs that drive qualified sales opportunities. He has been featured in Entrepreneur, California Executive, and Speech Technology magazines, and has a patent pending for marketing techniques he has pioneered. Before joining Equilar, Nick led teams in marketing, business development, training, and IT for Nuance Communications, Aspect Software, and Home Box Office, Inc. Outside of the office, Nick coaches youth sports and serves as a Y-Adventure Guides leader at the South Valley Family YMCA, which recently named him its 2011 Volunteer of the Year. Nick holds a B.S. in Communications from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. |
Dermott CorrDirector |
For over 20 years, Dermott has served in executive management positions with direct P&L responsibility in the engineered products, distribution and chemical processing industries. Most recently, he was the President of JohnsonDiversey Equipment from 1995 to 2006. Prior to JohnsonDiversey, Dermott was with Levitt-Safety from 1986 to 1994 and with Imperial Oil from 1975 to 1985. Through his experiences at both public and private companies, Dermott brings a track record of leading teams which developed and successfully implemented innovative strategies to drive growth and profits in a variety of businesses. Dermott graduated from Imperial College, London University with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Nuclear Technology. He also earned an M.B.A. at Harvard Business School. |
Robert GoldinDirector |
Bob has over 30 years of business development and executive management experience, primarily in the healthcare sector. During his career, he started or expanded a number of businesses, including a market research database company reflecting data from approximately 45% of all U.S. hospitals, a medical transcription company and other corporations. Nearly all of these businesses were ultimately acquired by public or private companies. He has a depth of knowledge and experiences which span start-ups, growth, profitability and positioning for acquisition and other outcomes. Bob's most recent position was CEO of MediSHARE II. He has also served on the boards of several private and public corporations. Bob has both a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. from Syracuse University. |

Tom has more than 30 years of sales leadership, product management and executive experience. He has a proven track record of building and managing sales teams, opening and expanding new markets and establishing go-to-market alliances. Currently, Tom is a Senior Director at Risk Management Solutions, the world leader in catastrophic risk modeling for the global insurance industry. Prior to RMS, Tom served as Vice President of Sales and Client Services at Equilar and was responsible for building our sales organization and accelerating our revenue growth. Tom previously served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Gridstone Research, where he built a sales organization and established channel partnership relationships to launch a new research platform for Wall Street equity analysts. Prior to Gridstone, Tom served as Managing Director, Global Product Management at Fitch Ratings. At Fitch, he planned and launched a new information business, Fitch Research, designed to deliver research, credit ratings and financial data to institutional investors worldwide. Tom joined Fitch in 1997 after 16 years at Bankers Trust and Institutional Investor where he was President of the BankStat Division, a business that Tom founded while he was a Vice President at Bankers Trust. Tom has a B.S. in Operations Research from Kean University in New Jersey. |
